Esterbrook is one of the greatest names in American pen history. Founded in 1858, by their peak they were making 216 million pens a year. Unfortunately, as the market changed, Esterbrook went out of business in 1971. Now they're back, though, with the name brought back and the designs reinvented by Kenro Industries, who have plenty of experience of bringing back or continuing famous pen brands.
The “J” was Esterbrook’s classic pocket pen, popular throughout the 1940s and 50s. This modern day version - the JR (J Reborn) - has all the appeal of its predecessor. It's stylishly compact, with the swirled green and blue finish nicely set off by the gold trim.
As Esterbrook puts it, the JR is 'small but mighty'.
Made from DiamondCast and inspired by the lush, tropical coasts of Brazil, the Beleza edition - Meaning 'Beauty'- lives up to its name. It has a unique sparkle to it, and the swirling greens and blues truly do reflect the stunning colours of the tropical Brazilian waters.
Screw on cap. 125mm long capped, 155mm posted, weighs 20g. Supplied in a nice cloth gift box, ink cartridge, and converter. Uses standard international cartridges so you'll always have plenty of ink choices.
